Freestyle/Big Air

Event Details:

Judges will score based on the following criteria: Difficulty, Variety, Style Impression, and Execution.

This is your opportunity to showcase your skills! If we encounter high winds (25+), the format will lean more towards big air. On lighter wind days, the focus will shift towards freestyle and technical maneuvers. In essence, bring out your bag of tricks, but ensure a clean landing!

Scoring:

Divisions include U18, Women Am, Men Am, Women Pro, Men Pro, and 65+. Riders will only be judged within the marked competition area; anything outside will not be considered. Riding between the competition area and land (excluding launching and landing) will result in automatic disqualification.

There's no limit to the maximum number of moves or combination attempts per heat, including crashes or repetitions for the same jump. However, only the three best tricks from the entire performance will be scored.

Variety within your top three moves is crucial, as we are aiming to recognize the most complete rider. An additional score for the overall impression of the entire performance will be given at the end of the heat. This score considers factors such as technical difficulty, style, variety, execution, risk, showmanship, and innovation. It will be added to the total score and could make a difference. The average of these four scores, weighing evenly, will be the final score.

In case of tied scores, the tiebreaker favors the competitor with the highest single score. If the tie persists, it's then decided in favor of the second-highest score. If needed, the tiebreaker shifts to the rider with the higher score in Overall Impression.

First place receives 7 points, second earns 5 points, third is awarded 3 points, and every participant completing the event receives 1 point.
