Most impact vests are not USCG approved, but still offer some flotation for those times when you're in deep water and need that extra security. Many other vests sit right above a kiteboarding seat harness, giving you the most in flotation and impact protection. Some examples are the O.G. from Jet Pilot and the Five from Hyperlite.
