Kiteboarding lessons/excursion options:

All prices are per person and are private lessons. Add a second person for 1/3 of the appropriate price. We don’t exceed a 2 to 1 instructor to student ratio.

Otherside’s kiteboarding instructors are PASA certified, licensed and insured. With almost 10 years of teaching kiteboarding for a living EACH, they are some of the most qualified instructors on the planet. These guys live, eat, and dream kiteboarding. If you’ve had lesson elsewhere and have been less than satisfied, try oTHErside, where the grass is greener. THESE GUYS ARE THE BEST- I’LL GUARANTEE IT!

2.5 Hour beginner course - Wind theory, wind-window, set-up, safety, launching, landing, kite control, water relaunch, self-rescue, board skills- $300

Intermediate to advanced - What do you need to work on? 2 hour minimum, $150 per hour.

Sitter Session - For intermediate riders that just need a few pointers. This is a private lesson, often a downwinder in which your instructor will also be kiting with you. Their objective is to ‘keep an eye’- To be there if help is needed with relaunching, upwind carving, learning jumps, or anything else. Approximately 2+ hours. $150 if gear is needed. $100 if you have your own.

Boat Trip - There are those days when we get wind out of the north or west when conditions on the Oceanside are less than favorable, or impossible. There is very little public water access to the Bayside of the Florida Keys, so we’ll pile onto one of oTHErside’s kite-specific pontoon boats to get you out. We’ll take you to our secret spot dubbed ‘The Otherside’ (bayside) which is a sick sandbar right offshore. $20 for the ride. This option is for self-sufficient, up-wind riders only! If anyone needs a downwind rescue because of pilot error, or inexperience, a $50 fee will apply. Boat trip typically run 9am and 1pm. Call in advance to reserve your spot.

Advanced Excursions - The Florida Keys waters are some of the most beautiful and distinct water in the country. Let our guides take you through Mangrove glades, untouched backcountry, or to the reef for a truly unique kiteboarding experience. $450 for a half-day boat trip. Max 6 people (that’s only $75 a head!).
