Kiteboarding Helmets
“A $10 helmet for a $10 head” Sure it’s a quote from a helmet company, but it holds true nonetheless! The general rule of thumb is if you’re using a kiteboard leash you NEED a kiteboarding helmet. If you’re not using a kiteboard leash, you should have a helmet. Unless you’re in open water with no obstacles, you’ve got the danger of racking your brain. In other words, if you are kiteboarding then you should use a helmet!
Most rail parks (there’s one coming to a beach near you, for sure! If not, call us, we’ll work on it for you!) require a helmet. Sure, any helmet will do the trick for the regulations, but why not get a kitesurfing helmet that will fit you comfortably and feel like you’re not wearing anything. When you’re not behind your kite, the Bern Watts will double as a wake, skate or snow helmet.
This year, the kiteboarding helmets from Hyperlite are made by Bern Watts, the undisputed helmet experts. If you look at Cabrinha, Slingshot, Best or North pro-riders, they’re all donning Bern Helmets.
All Otherside Boardsports helmets and hats are high quality and made to last through the wear and tear of the ocean, lake or anywhere you love to enjoy the water. Order a kiteboarding helmet with any kiteboard set or trainer kit for total peace of mind in high winds and surf.
