Durability was a top priority with both these SUP boards and feature a Duratec bottom sheet, which is basically a very thin layer of ASA plastic that is laminated to the bottom to prevent dings and scratches. The top is covered with an integrated EVA deck pad that runs from nose to tail, for traction and comfort - No waxing required which means less mess. The biggest difference in the Amundson 11'0 Superlight is in the construction. It's made with an Epoxy PVC sandwich technique that is now industry standard. The light EPS core is covered with a thin sheet of high density PVC foam.

The PVC is sandwiched between layers of glass that gives structural integrity and allows the factory to use less fiberglass and less epoxy resin. An extra step is added when the board is vacuum bagged to remove any excess resin. The result is a lighter and stronger board that will last longer.
